Deal With Thatch
Thatch, which naturally accumulates on top of your lawn’s soil and is mostly composed of dead grass, is a layer. Included are roots, rhizomes, stolons, and stems that have not yet broken down. The covering of thatch should be removed by a procedure known as dethatching if it is thicker than 1/2 inch since it might be harmful to your lawn.
